A Practiced Grace

This essay immediately got my attention from the first line. In the back of my head, that line had been replayed over and over again. I then had figured out where I had heard it from… Starbucks. This essay stood out to me because since I had been to that place many time I could relate to it more easily than I could the other two essays. I believe you tend to be more interested in and tend to read things that you can relate to. For me, I find it easier because I know the place or thing and can look back and see how their experience went compared to mine. It is always nice to know what other people are thinking. Another thing that I liked about the essay was that it had description. It was not overloaded and not so little you just got the big picture. You ended up getting the perfect picture. I also liked how they go the picture right for inside the store and outside looking in. Whenever I go to Starbucks, I normally do not think about what is going on outside. Especially when it is cold outside the first thing I think is,"Car you better have not lost that much heat...I'm freezing." So being able to see what they think about seeing it from the outside with snow on the ground helps me visualize it easier.
